Back From EOS on Saturday
Great time and will just touch on a few things.
Embarkation and debarkation was easy.
Food Only Ok (except lobster night and it was excellent).
Portofinos Only OK (been there many times other ships and was great).
Labadee Excellent (Had a cabana on Barefoot beach).
Puerto Rico too short but got 2 Coach purses for me/1 for friend.
Staff 98% were excellent, friendly and great!
Promenade room (had one before) was fine and no noise.
NO smell anywhere!
Rarely waited for elevators.
Casino (which we all love) was tighter than it usually is!
Weather was great.
Shows, same singing/dancing, good but RCC needs something different.
Still a clean and beautiful ship.
Very disappointed w/Diamond lounge, was rarely anyone there. It just can't compare with when we were allowed to go into the concierge lounge.
Any questions just ask and I'll answer.

Glad you had a good time.
What time did the Coach store open?
Did you go to the Schooner Bar? I'm wondering if the piano player is any good.

Thank you for your review! Glad you had a good time, but one question. Where was the diamond lounge? I was told the EOS did not have one by the C and A people. I should learn to call back since it always seems to take several calls to get the correct answer! I should just take the average of 3 calls! We are sailing on the 7th of June, so just wondering...Thanks
Pat

Explorer does not have a dedicated diamond lounge but there is a nightly diamond event in the 19 th hole.

Roxie was pretty good in the Schooner Bar. His 'Phantom' number, done on Formal Night was very good. He is pretty entertaining.
The nightly Diamond event was very empty. On our Dec. cruise, we could NEVER get a seat. We went into Dizzy's as overflow.

There's a physical Coach Outlet in San Juan. It's usually open when the cruise ships come in, around 9 or 10.

Do you have any pictures of the room? I am considering a Promenade room for next May.

Are COACH purses duty free/less expensive then they are here on the "main land" considering PR is the US&A...I know they are mad expensive in the mall here, and you need to pretty much dress up like it's a captains night formal to go into the store, or they will push you out...

I shop in Coach at the mall several times a year and never had to dress up.

Well first it certainly wasn't bought on the street. The Coach store opened at 10am and we got there about 9:50am. There were already people in line about 1/4 of the way down the block. Store was very crowded and people were buying, buying. I looked at several Coach stores here in Maryland as well as Delaware and couldn't find anything I liked. My son bought me one for Xmas and I took it back ($400). In PR I bought two for myself and one small one for my son's girlfriend. All three cost only $356 and I was thrilled to find something I liked and all cost less than one here. I highly recommend going there.

They hold the Diamond event in the 19th Hole lounge. It's right next to the Viking Crown Lounge. There were two other couples there besides me and DH. It was pitiful compared to when we use to be able to go in the concierge lounge. 100% different. All the perks have been taken away from Diamond members that were worth anything as far as this area goes. My husband use to go there and get a beer or two before dinner and a sampling of whatever they had out. We never bothered to stop in there last year but DH wanted to try it this year and we went only one time, wasn't worth it, at least this particular cruise wasn't.
The piano player in the Schooner bar was good. I enjoyed him very much, however, he couldn't touch the one I saw on the Norwegian Dawn the one and only time I sailed Norwegian. He was excellent!
I don't have a picture of the promenade room we were in but maybe my son's girlfriend does, I'll ask and post if she does.
