I'm presently on book 12 of Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time. As I'm sailing next Saturday, I'll be on book 13 by the time I sail. I have a Patricia Cornwell book available plus the first three Harry Potter books. All of these are on my iPad; I never leave home without it.

I'm really in to Harlen Coben, John Sandford, Clive Cussler - spy, CIA, etc. books recently. I read a book a week, so I hope there's something new/good out when I sail in September and I haven't read all the new ones by then....

I also just read and enjoyed Water for Elephants. A series I fell in love with is called the Yellowstone Romance Series by Peggy L. Henderson. The books are titled as follows:

Yellowstone Heartsong - book 1
Yellowstone Redemption - book 2
Yellowstone Awakening - book 3
Yellowstone Dawn - book 4

She is currently writing book #5 and I am anxiously awaiting it!

They all revolve around the Yellowstone National Park area. Books 1 & 2 have a little bit of time travel in them, which I usually do not like. But, these are so well written and believable that it did not bother me at all. Each book (so far) has been written in a different era.

Have read the entire trilogy of "Shades". Noah Boyd is great, Justin Cronin is just as good, Patricia Cornwell, Shannon McKenna, Philip Margolin.............just to name a few.

Do you have an ereader? Browse the 'freebies', have read some great books through those lists.

You too! I've started reading, but with everything I have going on it's been slow going!

How could 50 shades of grey be going slow? I read all 3 in about 3 or 4 days! Couldn't put them down.

Last month, I found out about a book "Titanic Survivor" written by a crew member who survived that sinking as well as several other disasters. But her life story is so much more than just her shipboard life. Got it from our local library, and now my hubby is reading it.

I'm working on the "Game of Thrones" series. They've all been good, but so far this one ("A Feast of Crows") is kind of dragging. But, I've decided to get them all read almost consecutively, otherwise I forget the myriad of characters and plot lines.

I also usually have another book of two going on as well.

I just finished all of Harlan Coben's books, including his newest. Now I've started on Linwood Barclay, and his style and plot development and suspense are all very much in the style of Coben.

My favorite romance author is Jean Joachim. The NY chapter of Romance Writers of America is giving her the Author of the Year Award in September.

Thanks to NOOK Free Fridays (one book is offered for free each week) I discovered the author Sylvia Nobel and her Kendall O'Dell Series. They are mysteries that take place in Arizona. Her books keep my attention, and I didn't want to put them down.

More info on her books is listed here: http://niteowlbooks.com/

I have also read her book A Scent of Jasmine (love story). It was good, but the mysteries were GREAT.

Anything by James Patterson. Although I don' t know why I bother when on a cruise. I get such a kick people watching I am lucky to get 1 chapter in. Reality is more entertaining, strange, comedic...etc than fiction.

Just finished Murder in Mykonos by Jeffery Siger. Heading to the Greek Isles in the fall, so that made it even more interesting. He has a bunch of books that take place there.

Highly recommend Erik Larsen's "The Garden of Beasts" which is a fascinating non fiction telling of the US Ambassador to Germany's activities from 1933 to approximately 1938. And all that went on in Berlin during that time.

And Bill Bryson's "At Home", which is a non fiction masterpiece about houses and how rooms have changed throughout history. Bryson lives in an old Rectory (clergyman's home) in England. This book is not only extemely entertaining but exceptionally informative as well.
