Default Helicopter Evacuation from Carnival Dream 24 May 2012

We were aboard the Carnival Dream last week (Eastern Carib itin) on the way back from St Maartin to Port Canaveral when the captain came on the intercom and announced we had a medical situation onboard that required us to change course to San Juan PR. After sailing on the new course for about 6 hours another announcement was made to clear the aft end of the ship in preparation for a Coast Guard Helicopter evacuation of the affected passenger. Two people were evacuated from the ship but cannot say with any certainty the exact reason. There was lots of interest in the event as hundreds stood by on forward decks to watch and photo. Proud of our Coast Guard guys and gals for the swift and sure response to the event and prayers for recovery of the passenger. Pictures and vids here:
