I am on your cruise and was also researching things to do in Costa Rica and read good reviews for Odyssey Tours. When I went to their web site they have a section for cruisers called "Open Tours" and this rafting trip was listed. I thought you might like to know about it.

Tour: Whitewater rafting class II and III
Perfect for those looking for a day filled of adventure with the whitewater rafting class II and III (for begginers). 8 hours tour from 9:30am to 5:00pm including stops at Esparza town, farmers markets, coffee plantations, waterfalls, souvenirs, and of course rain and cloud forest. You can pay cash or credit card (we accept all them) once you are here. We will be going to Balsa river located close the Arenal volcano. only 1:30 hour drive each way is needed. We include: full insurance, a/c and comfortable transportation, bilingual and nature guide, lunch at very good local food restaurant, professional equipment and guides.
