Oh, one by one, the Summiteers are movin' on. Haven't heard from Lynn in ages, and RA rarely, then Oink deserts us and now Paul?

Amelia's 6th birthday party is next w/end. Gotta go get her final gift today. Hope nobody bought the bicycle helmet I have in mind. Otherwise it's gonna be a Princess activity book. The rest are clothes, which she is not keen on for gifts, but Mommy is always happy to get. Oh, she loves books, and I did get her a book in Holland. It's a story of a cat in a windmill. I think she'll like it.

Wow, that was a surprise, turned the page without cheating.

Becki, Amelia is going to be 6. That time went fast.

I think I mentioned my oldest granddaugher is expecting a girl in October.
the baby shower is next month and I haven't a clue what to get her. I should be an expert at baby shower gifts by now.

Grace, yes, it's so hard to believe Amelia will be 6. She is so tall, but still so slender. And, she still wants to be picked up. It's like trying to pick up a baby giraffe. I say she is either going to be one heck of a prosecuting attorney or a politician. She spent a night with us a few weeks ago and everything was a negotiation. From how much she ate or drank to whether she took a bath to what time she went to bed. Whew! Oh, and where she slept. Our master bedroom is on our main floor and the other bedrooms are on the 2nd floor. She wanted to sleep in our room. Garrett was not too keen on that, so I teased her that, since there was only one bed there, that I guessed I could get her a dog bed to sleep in. One about the size for a collie. She didn't like that answer, so she decided to sleep upstairs after all. But, she let me know that she might be calling me. I told her I'd be listening for her.

I hear ya about the shower gifts. But, gee, things keep getting so much more techie and more refined. First with the baby monitors. Like it wasn't enough that you could listen to the baby; now they have vision and hearing monitors. How cool is that?! And, the strollers! Those things are like baby cars! They are huge, what with the car seats that pop out and the bins underneath and the cup holders. I bought my niece one not realizing how big the box would be and couldn't get it in my trunk. I had to come home and get Garrett's van to bring the stupid thing home.

Yep, Becki and lets not forget the spa bathing tubs for infants.

Xmas Sophia was a year old with all the vtech and leapfrog devices.
which did not hold her interest then.

Easter I got her a 9" ball. She never stopped playing with it.
Total investment on Great Grandma's part $5.99. lol

Grace, yep, it's often the simple things that still give kids the most hours of fun. When Amelia spent the night with us, I bought her a Princess jigsaw puzzle and we probably spent an hour working on that before it was her bedtime. It was something we did together and she enjoyed and it cost me $5.99. She took it home and it came in a nice metal box with the Princesses on it. So, we were all happy.

....Good Sunday Afternoon, Summiteers...I will Start again and hopefully finish this time....After leaving the Casino, we went to the Gelato Stand...I forgot what flavor we had, but

we got them to make us fresh dish cones...It was very good...Since this is only formal night on this cruise..we retire to our cabin to get our glad rags on...I finally, get to

wear my new dress shoes...Black and white oxfords.....We go down to deck four to get our photos taken...Somehow, I got mixed up on the time...and all the photo guys and girls

were taking a break for a half hour...Then one guy said he would take a shorter break and take our photos...We thanked him and posed, and that was done...As we made

our way to the Martini Bar, Women passing by, told me how much they liked my shoes...Eat you hearts out, Ladies!!!..LOL We went to

the Martini bar and had a couple of blasts.Then we went to the early show..IBroadway...As you can tell this is a show full of Broadway tunes...There is a large Fake Ipod hanging over

the stage...This show was quite good, with tunes from the 40's..50's up to today. Of course our favorite was the two numbers they did from "Phantom of the Opera"...Next time the second dinner at Blu and beyond!!!..Good Luck getting Paul, to answer...You have to use the real Paul signal...You remember what that is..don't you Gary???

..Hello, again...We made it back, to BLU and only had to wait for a few mintues..This time, we got our window table for two a little toward the rear....A Cocktail waiter came over and we

ordered..a Lemon Drop for Kathie Lee and for myself a tall CC and soda...After studying the meau...Kathie Lee ordered....Pan fried Macadamia Nut crusted Sea Scallops, I did the same..for

soup, We both ordered the California Blue Crab Bisque....for the Entree...I ordered the Lump Crab and Morel Mushrooms Risotto With Green Asparagus with Parmesan Coulisi..Kathie

ordered the Herb Crusted Rack of Lamb with fingerling potatoes and Pinot Noir Sauce..I just have to tell you about the Lump Crab...It comes in a large white bowl, with a large lump of Crab

in the middle surrounded by this Heavenly tasting risotto...Next it's dessert time....I ordered a Chocolate floating Island with Orange Blossom Creme' Angalise..Kathie Lee had the Pear Tart

Tantin, The Chocolate Island arrived..It is in a large white bowl with a large Chocolate Melange floating in a Orange blossom sauce...The aroma coming off this, is intoxcating!!!...Of course,

if you wanted some thing classic You can get Broiled Atlantic Salmon filet,Grilled New York Strip Steak, or this is something new for me...Roasted "Airline" Chicken Breast...You can order these any night. Next time, Night Life....

Oooh, Beau, snazzy with those oxfords! Hope you got those in the photos! Love the "Phantom"! I never tire of the songs from that musical, unless they are badly done. The food at Blu sounds just heavenly. And, I do know what "airline" chicken is.
