Thank you for posting the information about the Grand Marina. We had been down there in 2006 and the area seemed seedy and living on the glories of the Olympics which were held in that area. I feel much better now about using this hotel and letting AMA take us the whole way. We did check into transfers to Arles and out TA suggested that the price was about $500 plus transfers from the airport. Using AMA's hotel seems to be a good choice now, thanks to you!!!! Please be on touch when you return in a few weeks and report on the trip and the quality of the food. Please let me know how the Tapas Boqueria tour was. We tried to do this on our own but didn't know how to choose wisely or choose a good place. We are excited about our trip in Nov, as cool as it will be. I really appreciate your imput. We are doing Barcelona to Paris Oct 22 from Toronto. How has the touring in those 2 cities been? Did you have enough time to see much? We are debating adding a day on either end. Ama will charge $30 pp to pick up at airport. Are cabs easily available & cheaper? Any other info would be appreciated.

I did think the food was better than Viking for example, but again subjective. Not as good as Crytal or Regent by any strech, but very good and simple. Portions not too huge, regional specialties each day. Great cheeses. The Russian ships are "leased" and have never had anyone rave about the food in Russia on land or ship lol. I will be sailing in AMA again for sure. |

We returned yesterday from this same tour. Fantastic. Yes, there is good room beneath the bed for bags and in one corner, behind the lounge chair.

We returned from this same cruise yesterday. It was wonderful. We did not take the extension to Spain, since all those hours on the bus didn't sound fun. We also did Paris on our own, since we've been there several times. One complaint that we heard on the ship was about the Paris hotel that AMA booked. Everyone was complaining about many aspects of it.
