Greetings from Mallorca! This place is great! Our cruise was great but we are exhausted. Trying to relax here. On to Barcelona tomorrow. something on the Grandeur made my feet and ankles swell to twice their size. Too much salt in the water, I'm thinking. They are finally back to normal today.

We'll be home late Thursday night.

Bill's ankles swell all the time, lately!!! Told him to get a special diet on the cruise, and if looks could kill, I'll be dead by now..

In Barcelona now at a great Boutique hotel. Just had a great meal at the Plaza Real and then drinks at an Irish Pub. Touring on the Hoho bus tomorrow. Our friends have a suite with an outdoor hot tub!

I doubt if I'll ever get John to come back to Europe. It's been a hard trip for him, but we've managed.

Can you believe.....somehow he managed to lose his Kindle and a point and shoot camera!!! What am I gonna do!!?

We, on the other hand, have an app with the MOHs doc, for small surgery, just above his lip, right side!!! Oy, oy, oy ... I need a gun!!!
Don't even know if we are keeping the 2 BR cruiser from SJ: right now, I don't feel like going.. Can you believe that?? We have until the end of Aug.. So, I know we will go, but right now, my answer will be a real fat NO (hopefully he will get an attitude change, or I will change it for him)

I'm just wondering what your experience on GOS was. I'm not cruising until December. But, since this is my first cruise, I'm all excited about learning as much as I can about the ship. I know she just came out of a refurbishment. Was the ship everything you expected?
Any observations are appreciated.

Tom.....Just home now and waking up after a great night's sleep in my wonderful bed!

The Grandeur did not disappoint! And we vowed and declared to never sail on her again when we last sailed her in 2004. In the next few days I will be posting a detailed review on the RCI board. I will post a link here in case you don't see it! It will have lots of pictures! So stay tuned.

Hi All!

Long trip back yesterday, but we made it! We got in around 8:30 and went straight to bed! Had a great night's sleep.

I hope John will recover and get back to normal. The whole ordeal was a bit much for him. He found his camera, but I'm afraid the Kindle has gone bye bye. I think he left it on the plane going over. I will have to start doing a better job of checking behind him! He is such a joy to travel with!!! Ha!

I'll be in laundry hell for a while, but hope to get started on the review before too long. We have over 2000 pictures to go through!

So nice that you are back Jane, and so wonderful to hear what a good time you are having. Too bad you didn't go to the CL, as I would have loved to have heard who the concierges were. I really want to book a cabana in Haiti and am afraid I will not get my usual over the water one.
Franca do you have the concierge address, as I want to start asking for the cabana as soon as possible. I will be sending a weekly note reminding them, as this is very important this time, I have my family with me.
I too am doing laundry on weekends now. I am not home during the week because of Savie, she is having a bad time right now. The good news she is half way through. Just three weeks to go.

Doing lots of thinking, right now, and we MAY canceling the B2B on BR; I will be the bad guy, but I don't think that Bill wants to fly to SJ, and go trough all what's involved!!! He's not 100%, and the sad part, is that he won't admit to it, and it will be ALL my fault; I don't want to go on cruises and be miserable!!! We can book the two cruises with driving distance!!! Not sure, yet, just a head up!!!

Thanks Franca for the address. I will be contacting them. Unfortunately I am not a great fan of Fernando, it's a personal thing, we can't like everyone. But I will be sending a message off to him. I am in an OS and see no reason why I would not get an over the ocean cabana, if I keep contacting him. We will be five weeks out soon, so I will start asking. I will send a note once a week, just to make sure.

I kind of thought you would not be going on the Brilliance in December. It is a long ride and two weeks on the Brilliance is a bit much for Bill right now. Maybe you can cancel and wait until the cruises come closer. Then you may be able to grab a guarantee category, that may give you an up grade. I remember when John was sick, some of my cruises got canceled. It's not easy. I understand completely.

Hi!

Fernando is not my favorite either. yuk! But we loved his brother.......go figure.

Still drowning under all these pictures. We have both been working on them. The problem is we used 4 different cameras and co-ordinating tehm into one folder in chronological order has been time consuming. We're getting close, though.

Been trying to catch up on all the shows we DVRed while we were gone plus watch the Olympics. Rev......are you watching Big Brother? It's pretty good. We just got caught up on that yesterday.

Franca.......do you have the same cabin booked for all legs of your trip? It's a while yet. Maybe Bill will come around and be better by then.

I've been out looking at new laptops. Mine is sort of outdated at 2 1/2 years old! It's tax free week-end here so I might as well take advantage of that.

School starts in three weeks Arrrrggh! I guess I can take anything for one last time! Our new principal is young and pregnant......due the end of September....that should be interesting.

Gotta run hit the treadmill. I feel like I gained 20 pounds on this trip!

We still 'thinking' but I think that we will cancel the cruises!!! It will be really too much for Bill, and believe it or not, he did tell me that he doesnt want for me to book any other cruise, because he's all cruised out!!! I can see why he saying that: the stupid skin cancer has taken it's toll on us: mentally and physically; I'm tired of all this, and I'm not the one with it!!!
Hopefully, he will change his mind, in few days, but if he doesnt, so will be it: can't force him to go!!!

Franca, this is just a thought, as I know you don't want to leave Bill, but maybe you will need the rest from all this cancer and therapy, I know I did, my psychiatrist, maybe Pattie or someone can come down and take care of Bill while you are away. I am booked on the very same cruise (Brilliance B2B) in a great Junior suite. I would not mind sharing it with you. I also have paid for two nights of the Embassy Suites in San Juan before the cruise. You would only have to pay for half of the cruise. I know Doris is not going to go,(all that moving and getting the place in Florida, has made it impossible for her,) which leaves me with a great JS all by myself. You would have to check with Doris and see what the cruise would cost, but the hotel in San Juan would be free, and it is a really nice one. I am staying at a Hyatt in Miami, and then taking there free shuttle to Miami airport, leaving on American on November 28th, you could come down on either the 28th or 29th, if you wished to join me at the hotel in San Juan, or you could just fly directly in on the day and join me on the ship. I am flying home and going to the Hilton in Lauderdale, as I will be going on the Allure on December 16th until December 23, but you could just go home on the 15th and be back in plenty of time for the holidays. It's just a thought, and you may need the rest, so keep it in the back of your mind. I would love to have you along.

Jane, I am watching Big Brother...and am loving it. I go to Jokers dot com to get up dated on the show, so I know who Danielle choose to go up and I also know which teams Dan and she are allies with this week. However you know how the game goes, this could change. I think they are doing a great job with the show this year, they have really made it exciting. I was really disappointed that Frank was not out right away, and that Willie went that crazy. I like Britney, and my favorites are Britney, Dan, Danielle and Shane. I do NOT like Boggie and only dislike Frank because he is the Other half of Boggie (a new Dr. Will), and enough is enough of them.

I'm looking forward to the review.

Barry I just read in the AARP, that Gainesville is one of the best places to live in Florida, I know you are near there.

Yeah....we are enjoying BB this year, too. I used to like Boogie, but he is getting on my nerves this year. I'm hoping Britney will do well, but she's just not quite smart enough. Maybe Janelle can pull it off.

We did our best to stimulate the ecconomy this week-end. We each bought a new laptop! I'm loving mine! I had to replace my suitcase that the airline ruined.

REV, how nice of you; thank you very much, but I need to say NO; I dont like to cruise without him; I won't enjoy my self and I wil be thinking of him all the time; won't be fair to me or you; but i will remember this forever!!!!
We still thinking about it... I haven't canceled yet; try to see how things will be, before the final payment!!! We have an app with the doc this coming Tuesday, and he's going to let us know, how many more times we need to go and see him... I think that the real problem now, is depression, but I can't even mention it; it could be much easier if he could get some meds for it: just for a while!!!!

Go to Jokers dot com and read up on what is happening. It's free and it lets you know what is going on in the house right now. It is actually a lot better than looking at (and trying to hear) the live feeds. Already I know who is going up, who won the veto and who may be pulled off and replaced. The game they show you is not really the game, it is quite a bit different. And the live report does not spoil it, because the show is still good.
I like Danielle, she plays where her emotions, but she is very sweet. Boggie and Janelle are cut from the same cloth, as is Frank. I'm so not into any of them. I really like Ian, he's a dark horse, but he is really spot on when it comes to playing the game. They may make him an offer if they introduce "American's Player." I also think there will be a double eviction with the next winner of HOH.

Franca.......definitely look into some tempoary meds for depression. That's what saved John when Max died. Do it right away. It takes a while but it works. I sure would hate for you to cancel this cruise......wait as long as you can......you won't get this opportunity again.

Are y'all reading my review? Not getting many comments on it as I usually do. I guess people aren't as interested in the European cruises as the Caribbean.

Going out to see if I can stimulate the economy a little more this afternoon.
