Default Arachnophobia

Hello, I've yet to go on a river cruise. Since boats near shore tend to attract spiders, my wife wants to know if they generally keep river boats clean of spiders. Thanks!

Wink Spiders

We have been only two river cruises, but never saw any spiders. I would remember because as far as I am concerned, the only good spider is a dead one (sorry if that offends any kind hearts) :-)

On our Avalon trip earlier this year we so no insects/bugs at all. However, if you have a French balcony be sure to be careful with leaving the door open as anything could come in.

Hey, I share your wife's terror of things with 8 legs and hairy bodies! I've been on 7 river cruises, including Egypt, and I always get the french balcony. I have NEVER seen a spider on board the ship.....if I did, I would never step foot on a river cruise again! Tell you're wife she'll be safe on the boat....from spiders and all things creepy and crawly.
