Default Captain on the Quest's Christmas cruise!

My lucky neighbours Pete and Judy will be taking the Quest Christmas cruise this Dec., 2012 after only a one weeker on Quest last Sept. They loved it and are tremendously excited about the prospects: no cooking or even menu planning, tussling family dogs and Caribbean weather for 18 days!!

Now to my question: Does anyone know who the captain will be? I have posted on the role call section and Ravenscroft and I decided to post here too.

Thanks!

Default Quest Christmas and New Years cruise

Seabourn advises the following :

Captain: Magnus Bengttson.
Cruise director : Susan Wood
Executive Chef : Niels Rathert.

All Brits so far. Well at least a couple of Scots living in California but still Brits at heart.

See you all onboard the QUEST in about 139 days.

Jimmy.

Well Markham, lucky indeed they are to be going on the Quest, but not so lucky to be living next to you....

I hope Capt Magnus takes the Quest across the Atlantic this year as we will be on that and he is my favourite Capt!

We met Susan Wood recently on Sojourn. She is a tall, slim, blonde originally from the north east of England. We found her to be professional and nice to talk to. She is the one who - occasionally - says 'toodle-oo' at the end of her infrequent announcements, but we did not find it annoying, and her announcements are to the point and easy to understand - helpful when it comes to disembarkation. Hope you like her.

Jimmyw9,

Nautically speaking, you appear to have hit me broadside. Understandable, in your case, as an original and now antique forged blunderbuss.

Do enjoy your cruise. I am sure that Judy and Peter will manage without you.

Happy sailing!

Markham, thank you for posting this.

I believe we'll have a strong sense of déja vu on this cruise, as Susan Wood was CD on our Christmas/NY cruise last year on Silversea! We found her to be very personable indeed and professional at all times. She's an elegant lady who always looks the part.

Looking forward to meeting everyone in December, only 137 days to go now

Mr Luxury, perhaps over on the 'water cooler' thread you might tell us about the Olympics? Thanks from an inquiring mind.

Jane, are you on this Holiday cruise? If not, we are sorry to miss your curry lunch. But, we at least will have a fighting chance to win the Trivia!!
Hope you are enjoying a SB Holiday cruise.

Unfortunately, I am not on the Christmas Cruise. I am spending the hols in Maui and O'ahu instead, with family. so I shall be on the water, but signing my name to everything. And no Trivia.
Speaking of trivia, the History Channel Website has a quiz section at the bottom. Mostly geared to the US, but at least a little 'fix' for me.

Sounds like a nice trip too Jane! Last year we did a two week land Holiday vacation in mexico which was a nice change. Counting the days for our Quest trip! First time not on a little sister...

So, DCCruiselover, you can have a curry lunch. Easy to plan, pick a sea day, hold it after Trivia in the MDR and invited cruisers you meet who like curry. That's often how I met new friends. Meet with the Maitre 'd and Chef, give them free rein and be sure there is at least one vegetarian option. The Pursers will print an invitation. Easy Peasy.
