All right, I'm going to show my age now: My 14-year old niece set up a facebook page for me a couple of years ago, but I haven't been on in ages, and even forgot how to do it. Also, I understand that I have to be "invited" to be able to get access to a particular page, like EGE.

Any of you young whippersnappers out there want to teach me about how to find the EGE page and invite me (if that's required)?

I am not that well-versed in FaceBook (I still prefer the cruise critic board) but if I did it correctly, I just invited you into our closed group. Hopefully you will get the "invitation" to join, but you have to be on FaceBook to get it. I hope you remember how to log on! Meanwhile, keep checking this board, we won't let it die!

I was just looking online and saw a cruise that might work for next year.

10-night Southern Caribbean on the Caribbean Princess
It's a repositioning cruise from Brooklyn, NY to Galveston, TX leaving on October 26th, ports-of call are: Grand Turk, Curacao, Grand Cayman and Cozumel.

Just thought I would put that out there.

hi ya all

i am still lurking and enjoying all the boards. i am on this board and the four cruises we have booked. some of them are slow, but our dec.3, 2012 on the explorer is going big time.

we are waiting for our b/b on the allure starting sept. 9 driving to florida.

sure is hot.

Some folks are on Facebook, but even that's pretty quiet. No decision has been made on a 2013 cruise, but there has been some discussion - a good sign!

Hi Dena and Donna,

Glad to see there are still a few posters left on this board. At this point, I would guess that most EGEers have probably made individual plans for Fall 2013, and an that organized EGEIII cruise may not be in the cards this year.

So, looks like we'll have to start checking out the Fall 2014 cruises (not expecting itineraries to be announced until Spring 2013), so we're looking at a pretty quiet board until then.

Would have been nice if our mayor hadn't abandoned us, as we would still have some of his "glue" to hold this board together!

Hey Ernie, remember that this is an election year so you'd better get back out here and start campaigning if you want to get re-elected. We're not automatic votes you know - and we're not feeling the love lately...

The chat on the EGE's Facebook page today involves itineraries for Oct/Nov 2013. I feel a decision is nearing, but there is still no consensus on departure port, itinerary, even the cruise line is now up for debate. If it looks like the group is nearing a decision I will post again... Or you can join the conversation on Facebook. It's easy to sign up, and once you do we'll look for YOU so you can join that group.

We just got back from Ocean City, Maryland this evening, so that's why we have been so quite. (Why do I say "we" because Sharon doesn't even get onto the computer to check e-mails, no less cruise critic!).

We are eagerly awaiting the London wedding and cruise! But we are of course wondering about a Fall 2103 cruise, we are VERY much interested in that!

Any ideas yet. Johnboy?

Hi Ernie, glad to see you posting again. I know you must be busy planning your London trip, the wedding, and Med cruise in October. Good that you were able to take some time off for a land vacation, but you'd still better make time for us, buddy!

We booked a 10-night Western Caribbean (Cozumel, George Town, Falmouth, and Labadee) out of Baltimore on the new and improved Grandeur, sailing Nov 16, 2013 . It's a new RCI itinerary from Baltimore.

Involves no flying and adds C&A points by sailing RCI, so I'm happy!

You all might want to consider this as a candidate for a possible EGEIII cruise, as many can drive to this port, too (a GREAT benefit).
