Island Princess Christmas 2012
We are going on a cruise to the Panama Canal leaving December 20th on the Island Princess. I was wondering if the shore excursions posted on the cruises website will be running since it is Christmas Day? Has anyone experienced shore excursions on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day? Thanks!

I believe there is an excellent chance that the tours will operate as scheduled. I say this because from Holy Thursday to Easter Sunday has almost equal status as to vacations and businesses being closed, we were in Panama a year ago on Easter Sunday and all the tours went out without any problems. About the only thing that was missing was some of vendors were not available at some of the programmed stops. There were however enough vendors available so you did not come away empty handed, unless that was your choice.
