Greetings from the Outer Banks! We arrived last night safe and sound and are looking forward to those big waves today. I just looked out and the waves are really rolling this morning.

Deb, thanks for asking about Sandra. She is doing fine from surgery and now just trying with her doctor to gets the hormones at their correct level. She got a surprising letter from her doctor Wednesday. He is retiring effective in November and the surprising thing is he didn't mention it to her last week at her visit. Now in the middle of adjusting her meds, she will have to change physicians.
He did mention in his letter that increasing governmental intrusion was making it difficult for a small practice to keep practicing and her surgeon also alluded to the fact that Obamacare will play a significant part in whether they remain in practice.

I am seeing a Hematologist since my hospitalization in April and I received a letter from him stating he was leaving the area! So now I have to start seeing someone else in this practice. Our Family Health Doctor left this area after being our doc since 2000. We were really fortunate to find another doctor in the practice that is fantastic. We were so lucky to find Dr. Wollman.

Leaving this afternoon for Toddville for the weekend. Hope to get in some fishing in the bay but guess it will depend on the weathe. Hope you all have a great weekend!

We had a beautiful day here at the beach. It rained late this afternoon after dinner so that was fine with us. Earlier it was quite pleasant with a nice breeze blowing. And huge waves.

Mom's new wheelchair came today, I'm taking that and she'll drive her scooter. I figure we might get an excursion easier with the chair. i'm still waiting for the luggage tags. I'm getting so excited even though I'll miss Chuck, i won't miss the tension. I think Mom is actually getting excited. None of the people for excusions have gotten back to me, I keep sending the emails......

You know you have to print these yourself now?
Cutbacks on everything (grumble). First no chocolates on the pillow, now no luggage tags... Next they'll want us to help row the boat.

No, I didn't know that! I clicked order luggage tags!!! Now it says no longer available...... Now what do I do?

Yeah it says "We regret that luggage tag mailers are no longer available since your trip is within 13 days" or something close to that. I take it that I will be receiving lugage tags in the mail.

Deb-they stopped mailing luggage tags a couple of months ago. If you're Diamond Plus or in a full suite I think you get them. You can print them under your booking and laminate them or put packing tape on them. Or you can get them at the port and fill them out there.

A bunch of us ordered luggage tag holders from favors by serendipity dot com-clear plastic that you can put the printed ones in and use over and over again. Pretty cheap too but you don't have time to get them for this cruise.

Ok..... I hate to say but "My Luggage Tags Came Today" I guess I just got lucky because not only did I get 8 luggage tags for Mom and I to share, I got the luggage tags from when I originally booked and inside cabin on 2.

Deb...If you have any extras, be sure to hang on to them for next time! I wish I had saved all the ones I didn't use in the past. You can just update the necessary info.

Well, great Deb! You got lucky and I'm glad you did! Might want to think about ordering some of those clear plastic holders for future use because I really think they have or will stop mailing them.

Rainy day today at the beach! Oh well, they can't all be sunny! And now we have an excuse to go shopping. Summer stuff should be marked down now.

No, no baby yet!!! She is officially seven days late. Her midwife and the dr doing the sonograms say, as they have now for a couple weeks, "any time now."

First day back to work was a doosey! Worked nine hours, then left and attended a two hour Board mtg in Annapolis. I couldn't wait to get home. Wednesday was a little easier...and I've done nothing but rest since then of the week.

One heck of a storm blew thru here yesterday. We had tornado warnings in the area and for the first time, I really thought it might happen. It got SO dark and SO windy...I kept waiting for the hail to start but fortunately, nothing. We did have alot of downed trees but none of them twisted.

I spent some time looking at a New Year's Eve cruise...trying to decide if I want to go to the Bahama's AGAIN! Probably not!

Deb, have a wonderful time when you sail this week...we will be thinking about you!!

Barb, wooohooo, you get to cruise tomorrow...lucky you!!! Have a blast. Don't pick up any drunken flies...and if you do, FREE DRINK!!!

Got home from visiting my friend, Bonnie, and her husband, Bill, in time to watch some of the Redskin game. We Won!

Yesterday evening in Toddville, we lost power for about 4 hours. Dorchester County, Talbot County, and Queen Anne lost power due to a malfunction somewhere.

Tried fishing today but not even a nibble but we enjoyed a beatuiful boat ride and took a picture of this bird's nest. Double click to enlarge.

Looks like an Ospry nest. I used to have an Osry nest right outside my office, I miss hearing them.... One year they had four babies, I ot to watch momma push them out of the nest for their first flight. What a wonderful sight to see!

For once, I'm all packed!!! This week will be the longest week! My boss has a HUGE conference he's hosting on Thursday which means I'm going to earn my salary and then some. Come on Friday!!
