Hello. I am a fair weather sailor and am wondering what the seas are likely to be on this trip in April . If anyone has any knowledge I would appreciate it. Was on the med for 24days this summer and was fine, but I am worried about all that open water. The other choice is French Polynesia in February but that is cyclone season, Thanks. For any help, it is a big birthday and anniversary year!

I wouldn't worry about the weather - you really can't predict anything around here. I've been right across the South Pacific in the so-called cyclone/rainy season and haven't had a drop of rain or more than a breeze. I did sail between Pitcairn and Easter Island in October and, boy, was it rough!
You do know, don't you, that on a ship your size you will not be able to land at Pitcairn and maybe not even at Easter Island? That's a terrible shame. Try finding a small ship with zodiac landing craft. |
