In the main dinning room where we had dinner 7 out of 8 nights, we were not served a dinner that was more than luke warm at best. The only food served hot was an excellent French Onion Soup. One evening our food was placed on the waiter's station only to sit there for nine minutes, during which time our waiter was trying to accomodate other tables.
The dinning room was seriously understaffed. The waiters were great but under lots of pressure to satisfy guests who should have been allowed a leasurley hot dinner with bread, water and coffee available when desired, not when you reluctantly had to stop an hurried waiter. The staff and guests suffered from poor, very poor, management. |

Don't know how often you cruise. But we have noticed cutbacks in staff on HAL as well over the years. Service is very slow in the dining room. Yes -- food sits for quite while in the service area. And now HAL has cut back wine stewards in the dining room. The waiters have to now take the drink orders as the wine stewards only handle bottles of wine -- nothing else.
