Crazy Cruisers part two !!

Chrissy no blood test today as it was the Podiatrist at the hospital I seen. You've probably had it all done as well, you know the Doppler test and the sharp jaggy things all over my feet. I've lost some sensation in my feet but she was happy with the blood flow and she said my feet are lovely and they are a credit to me after 47 years. Next Tuesday I'm going to the diabetic eye clinic at a different hospital so that will be another sleepless night. We will have to compare notes when we meet on Indy

Right your not going to believe this but ille tell you anyway

A guy on our Splendour roll call was on a cruise on the QM2 around Christmas time and he had to have his cabin changed because the one he had booked was crawling with cockroaches How horrible is that, the very thought of it gives me shivers.

Carol, that is so disgusting it's making my skin crawl - I wouldn't have just wanted a change of cabin I'd have wanted all my clothes laundered and anything else I had in the room fumigated . Cunard would be a great cruise line if they were as wonderful as they think they are!!

Jasmine the cakes look great.....don't send them all to Chrissy, I want some as well please - what occasion are they for?

Guess what we had for dinner (tea/supper/breakfast call it what you will lol) - Lasagne Don't worry it was homemade, the only way there was horsemeat in it is if that's what Tesco's beef mince is made of .

Girls, remember that I've been recording all my LP's and putting them on my iPod, well I noticed that one of the artists that I've got on my iPod is "Miki & Ikea" - for those of you who've heard of them it should have been "Miki & Griff" but I think I must have recorded that and typed in the details while I was waiting for the Ikea delivery lol - any idea if I can change details on iTunes???

I've just noticed that we actually have spell check on here - it's top right of the "reply to thread" box. I suppose the trouble would be that it's probably American spellings!

I also noticed that at the bottom of the page there are "bookmarks" - there's facebook and Google but there's something called "stumbleupon" - what on earth is that, I'm too scared to press it and find out what happens

After saying the other day that I sometimes open another window when I can't remember what somebody's said but I know I want to comment/answer - well at the bottom of the page when you're in the "reply to thread" box there's a "topic review" - surely I'd have noticed before if it had always been there! Is it new??

Wow-I've got my laptop out to catch up on your posts over the last few days and my goodness you lot can talk. As you can appreciate I skipped over anything after about 9.30pm each day
My little dog is still not really herself, her paws are all better but she doesn't like us leaving her in the house for some reason, weve never had any problems before, so have ordered lots of herbal stuff to try with her. she still can't get up steps very easily but luckily she is only small to lift up.
It has been a sad week in our town, as two local men took their own lives earlier this week in seperate incidents, they werent really friends of ours, but we knew both of them, it is such a small town everyone pretty much knows everyone. The one man was the brother of the lady I told you about last year who lives behind us and her house burnt down, so she really is having a tough time of things. Both the men had young children too which just makes it even more sad, the ones baby was due to be christened on Sunday, its just so heartbreaking.
Anyway enough of the doom and gloom, we should appreciate what we have and make the most of every day (even nutty late night ramblings I suppose!!).
I had lots of cruise brochures through this morning-some lovely short breaks
, I haven't quite got through them as my day off flew by after decorating cakes, then popping out for lunch with Mum.
Sam-it looks from the photo on facebook you had a lovely pampering day? Where did you go?
Linda-I have a found a fab onesie for your flight to america, took a snap of it on my ipod so will go on that in a minute and post it on here!
P.s. The cupcakes are going to.........Carol-just incase she needs another sugar fix-they should do the job, maybe a couple to Chrissy-for medical purposes too (I don't know much about diabetes, I get confused whether diabetics need more sugar or less, or can this go either way? ) Anyway I can just send the cakes and you can decide when its to eat.
Do any of you watch Silent Witness? I wasn't sure about the new series without Harry but really enjoyed the last couple of weeks. I must get off here before 9pm when it starts, as I have to concentrate. Oh and leave you lot to lose your marbles ha ha.
Actually I may get back on later, just to monitor your behaviour

Jasmine , if I looked anything like that in a onesie I would buy one in a heartbeat , unfortunately I look more like a womble as I found out when I tried one on for a laugh
What a shame about Lexie , I was hoping she would be back to normal ,I am sure she soon will be with you and Simon looking after her so well , I bet you are giving her loads of cuddles and treats

Awwwww Jasmine what a sweet picture of Lexie it must be breaking your heart to see her all out of sorts. I really hope the herbal medicine helps. Your spot on about diabetes, its all about balance so sometimes we need more sugar and sometimes less so don't forget to send a few of those gorgeous cakes. Have you made them for a special occasion?

Gill I have all of those things on my screen but have never had the nerve to click on them. I couldn't even do quotes or smilies without help from Linda. Spell-check is on this computer and covers everything including these roll calls and emails and its the same with my phone

Linda I think you would look very fetching in that onesie and think how comfy it would be on the long flight unless of course you needed the loo

Sam has been quiet today, probably too busy celebrating her birthday and isn't this Chrissy's curry night

I'm another one who is too selfish to have a dog. I like them but they really are a tie so dog ownership isn't for us.

Yes Lexie is a real tie, we have both always had dogs so were used to it, we are lucky that our parents live so close by and will look after her whenever, like nights out, weekends away etc. She used to go to work with Simon when she was young, but she has got lazy as she got older and prefers to sleep on the bed during the day.

Gill I think I am a bigger coward than you and Carol put together , I won't click on anything unless I am certain of what is going to happen , I have a panic attack if any little boxes pop up on my iPad that I have never seen before , I am a right technophobe , the only reason I knew about smileys and quotes is because I learnt about it on the Disney forum , they have a chat and news forum and also a guest services forum which people ask techy questions on , I learn quite a bit on that .

Gill that cockroach story will give me nightmares , apparently bed bugs are becoming common in America , I hope they haven't made it onto cruise ships yet but I bet they have , makes my skin crawl , we will all be checking the matress seams when we get in our cabins
