Does anyone have pictures of what the staterooms look like with a pack n play open in the room? Specifically any NCL minisuite staterooms, although at this point I would love to see any room with the pack n play open. Does anyone know if they will also have those attachments to change the baby on that usually sits over the pack n play?

Thanks for any help! This will be my first time taking any kind of vacation with a baby.

Had the pack'n'play on Jade and Pearl (and will on Jewel next week). There was no diaper changing attachment. Have photos somewhere, but they are with the PnP in the 2nd bedroom of the two bedroom suite - so not really applicable, as we didn't care how much room it was taking up.

Sure, here are a couple from mini-suite size cabins on HAL. Never had the diaper changing attachment - just changed them on the bed. Not sure about NCL, but on HAL they didn't have crib sheets for the pack n' play. They put soft blankets at the bottom and then wrapped a standard sheet around and tucked it underneath. We would always bring a couple fitted crib sheets from home to use instead of their regular bed sheet. Good luck!

Here is the pack and play in a mini suite on the Epic. It did not have the changing station. We used our changing mat on the bed or couch. All of the public restrooms on the Epic had changing stations.

Looks like the PnP doesn't take up that much room! Thank you.

BTW, your baby is adorable!

Thank you, it looks great, and there seems to be plenty of room to walk! Thank you! Thanks for the news about the bathroom changing stations as well! What a relief to know.

Cutie pie is walking I see!

Carnivals is more of a mini metal crib. Unless things have changed since 2011 when we had one.

We just got back from carnival magic. For our 8 mo they provided a mini-metal crib. Mattress size was 24x36. Close quarters with us and our 4yo, but we made it through it!

What size sheets (playpen or crib) should we bring? Do you think the mattress is comfortable for a 16mo toddler?
Thanks

It'll prob be fine for a 16 mo.
We brought our pack and play sheets, but they were too small. We still shoved them on anyway, and it sort of compressed the mattress a bit (sort of like the bow of a bow and arrow, if that makes any sense?). We put her head on the raised end. Wish I had brought our regular crib sheets, and wold have just tucked them in on edges/underneath.

I definitely suggest "wedging" the PnP between the bed/wall or bed/wardrobe for extra "walking" space if your LO is mobile. We had a Cat D2 (oceanview balcony) on Allure of the Seas. Our cabin steward set the PnP up right between the sofa and desk, leaving very little room to move/navigate to our balcony. We figured out that if we moved our bed over about a foot, we could fit the PnP between one side of the bed and the wardrobe. Made for much more open space in front of the sofa for DD to play. The only complaint about that setup is that it was a little awkward accessing items inside the wardrobe, but for us, it was a minor inconvenience to have a better setup with more space.

Can anyone advise on the thickness of the mattress?
Usually standard travel cots are quite thin and hard.

Thanks

It's maybe three or four inches thick. It's not a pack and play mattress (just cardboard and padding), but more of a real mattress. Perfectly fine and baby slept no better or worse than on her usual mattress.

Depends on the cruise line and if they are using pack n' plays or a small size crib. The lines we have been on with a baby (HAL and Princess) just had standard pack n' plays with the usual thin padding on the bottom. The cruise line put a couple layers of blankets down and then we put a crib sheet over the whole thing.
