For breakfast, the little pastries with cheese in the middle and omelets.

Lunch - salad bar, asian food or pizza

MDR - tilapia and the warm soups

DH and DS would say lobster, WMC and cheesecake!

Just one more week !

Fruit Soups
GRAND MARNIER SOUFFLE
Escargot
Chocolate Melting Cake of course
Eggs Benedict (ask for the sauce on the side, otherwise it's baked into it and rather dry, love it with the hollandaise on the side)
Pizza
Lobster
Just about everything is great

Agree with the previous posts on main courses and hot soups. And the best ones for me and my family are the desserts namely tiramisu, souffle, black forest cake, and the melted chocolate cake! Cheese cake and almond napoleon in the buffet!

Eggplant Parm. It is listed as a vegetarian entree. It is a stack of both breaded eggplant and breaded tomatoes with cheese and sauce. It is very, very good.

The Roast Spring Chicken is also one of my favorites. It's half of a roasted chicken with a very flavorful stuffing underneath.

For Soups, the Pumpkin soup is out of this world-good.

I'm not a fan of the rich desserts so tend to order the cakes off of the Spa menu. They are light and fluffy with a whipped cream filling. They are made with Splenda so a little friendlier to the waistline.

For breakfast I love the corned beef hash with grits and scrambled eggs. Delish! For dinner, smoked duck appetizer, spicy alligator fritters, Chateaubriand (best MDR dish to me!), prime rib, bitter and blanc, creme brulee, Grand Marnier souffle.

Escargots are not slimmy. They usually are chewy and the taste will be whatever sauce--usually a garlic butter sauce--in which they are cooked.

To me, oysters on the half shell are slimmy. Escargots are not like that at all. I don't care for oysters on the half shell, either, but I love fried oysters!

Default favorite Carnival food

St. Louis ribs, Chateaubriand, lobster tail, rubens (at the grill), tiramisu, creme brulee, Black Forest cake. It's all good.

18 Carnival cruises, 125 sea days since 2007. More to come.

It's a vanilla and chocolate bread pudding with an amazing sweet sauce poured over the top. I hate break pudding but tried this once and now I am hooked! Right up there with the WCMC.

I love all the hot soups, escargot, filet, ribs....the list goes on and on!! 28 more day until I get to do it again!

Default Thank you for responding

Deb, thank you so much for responding. I love bread pudding so this should be on the top of my list.

They did a nigri style tempura prawn sushi thing as one of the "did ya?" courses on our last trip. Also, I remember a cold avocado soup. Both were good.

I remember a lasagna bolognese in the MDR. I couldn't decided between that and something else. But since you could get the lasagna as a starter, I decided to try it out and then order my other choice for dinner. Should have totally ordered the lasagna for dinner (and maybe two) It was so good.

And you can't go wrong with warm chocolate melting cake.

I would describe escargot as having the consistency of a sautéed mushroom. Flavor wise it takes on the flavor of the sauce...usually butter and garlic. Sooo delish.
