We watched on the Explorer a few years ago. It was lots of fun. The theater was divided in two and decorated in each team"s colors.. They served lots of football food. Hot dogs, nachos etc.

You can also view the superbowl in Viking Crown, the casino bar, On Air and schooner. And in your cabin. There were places we thought we could see it, but it wasn't on. There are many TVs here and there, but they will tell you they don't or can't get it everywhere.
Strange, since we saw the Super Bowl complete with the nationally broadcast commercials (not the additional drop-in ads that local stations show) when we were on the Jewel a few years back. Never say never because it is likely that you will be proven wrong as you turn out to be in this situation.

We have been sailing for the last several years for the Superbowl game. Each ship has their own style but is all very similar. Like the others have said, lots of football food, many places you can watch the game. This year we will be on the Legend 10 night, and the game is our last sea day (doing a B2B, so we won't have to be packing!!!).

Lots of fun. We have not seen any of the commercials on the ships we have been on.

I will also be on this Freedom cruise for the Superbowl and since Rodgers is returning this Sunday from his injury I am to believe the Packers will go the rest of the way and not only will be playing in the Superbowl but will win it. "GO PACK GO"

We were on the Monarch last year and will be on the Liberty this year and have been on the Liberty previous superbowls.. The superbowl is typically show on the pool deck, the Viking Crown and Theater with snacks (but get there quickly as they are practically gone before the game starts).

They will also be showing it in most pubs schooner, that English type pub in the promenade; sports thingy next to Studio B.

They will not show the Superbowl commercials. boo hoo

We'll I stand corrected. I didn't look carefully enough at the standings and didn't realize they were in contention for div champions. Anyway congrats!

We sailed on Super Bowl a few years ago. I had not realized when I booked the trip. DH was NOT a happy camper at the thought, however it was set up I think in the ice skating rink ( ice is covered with flooring they have big screens all over so you could see it from wherever you sat. On the "floor" they had buffets set up with Super Bowl type foods, fun buffet, in the end, hubby had a blast and said he would not mind doing it again.,

We will skip formal night if it's the same night... Just wondered if they moved formal night to Monday and if so, we'd bring appropriate clothes.

Yes, it will be all over the ship. You will be able to enjoy watching the Eagles against whatever team the AFC throws up

Perhaps the AFC will "throw up" the team that has scored the most points in a season ever.

We were on once and they showed the game on a big screen in the main theatre. Buffet of f0hot dogs, nachos, popcorn, etc was set up. Even gave out flags of the two teams so you could cheer your favorite team on. It was raucus and a blast! One of best super bowl parties iI have been to. The ship really went all out!
