FLL Hotel close to airport

Our cruise has free shuttles to and from the airport. I'm very familiar with the hotels near the port, and which ones has shuttles to the port, etc. but I think this time we'll stay close to the airport and take advantage of the free shuttle. I'd like suggestions for an airport hotel that shuttles from and back to the airport.

After our cruise we'll want to go back to the airport to rent a car, so that will work out good too!

The port and airport are practically joined at the freeway exit, so basically an airport hotel is also a port hotel. Most of the hotels have airport shuttles, although some will have them included in a "stay and fly" rate on their website.

As for renting a car on your return, if you rent from Alamo or National, they run a free shuttle bus from the port to the car rental centre at the airport. You would need the paperwork from a reservation for this.

Look at the hotels in dania, which are near the airport with shuttles. Only a couple hotels on 17th St nearer the port have airport shuttle service.
