Haven't got to be at Miami airport until 2 O'clock after the cruise and wondered if getting a taxi to Coconut Grove for a few hours was worth doing? Would have our luggage with us so need to know if there is somewhere to leave it? Thank you!

I'd go straight to Montys. You can take your luggage in there.

It's fun to sit on the water and look at all the yachts.

if gonna to that, I'd go to Monty's Sunset (formerly Monty's South Beach)

better view, pool ..... otherwise the same and I agree a nice place to hang out

I might add

there is no place at either of these locations that will hold your bags so you can explore .... without renting a car so you can leave 'em in the 'boot', your options are limited.

AND I presume your 2 at the airport already builds in the 'arrive two hours early' factor?

From either of these locations I'd budget an hour travel time to the airport. Should not take that long, but a taxi might not be immediately available.

Well they mentioned Coconut Grove specifically and I love the Montys there AND they can bring their luggage with them.

I have no idea what is going on with Scotty's Landing or I would have suggested that.

I actually prefer the Grove to South Beach.

you really like to disagree with me don't you BH?

I

prefer the view from the SB location .....

started hanging out at the Grove location in 1982 ...... think I can honestly say it is not as good anymore

(trivia: the second "meet the parents" was filmed at the Coconut Monty's location (party scene) . . . and there WAS a NICE rest' on a second floor of both locations .... which failed obviously.)

A. I wasn't disagreeing with you I was mainly stating they asked for Coconut Grove not for South Beach.

B. I agree the South Beach location is better.

C. My husband was asking me about Meet The Parents last time we were there.

The first time I was ever in Coconut Grove was while Miami Vice was still on the air! Probably late 80s.
