caribelle batik/other questions

Does anyone know if there is a place to buy batik at cruise port area...or is it better just to get excursion? Is St Kitts walkable with lots to do at port? Going in 90 days..stating to do homework...suggestions gladly received !!:)

I believe that the only place to buy the batik that is produced at Caribelle Batik is at Caribbelle. There was a retail outlet on the Circus years ago but with the expansion of the port area and the many shops there caused them to close. If you check the labels you will find most of the clothing for sale in Port Zante is made in China or elsewhere. Basseterre is very walkable but get out of the port area and see the real town. There is shopping, food and sightseeing.
