Car Rental at Heraklion Port

Can anyone recommend any car rental companies that are based at Heraklion Port - just for a days rental?

We did a land based holiday to Crete flying into Heraklion airport. We used a car hire company called The Best. We were satisfied with their service. You can look them up on the Internet.

Last fall we rented from Avis. They have an office at the port....in the parking lot. It used to be downtown but was moved. May still show as being downtown but it is definitely in the port parking lot....just a little way along and across the street from the bus station.

The location is good. You drive straight out and up the street to the intersection of the main Crete road.

Can't comment on the daily rates. Standard transmission. We had a one week rental...returned it at the airport.
