Belize beaches with shore snorkeling?

There are, but they are on the cayes, not the mainland.

 

You'll need to take an excursion to a place like Goeff's Caye . There are other cayes that he ships excursions go to as well. Snorkeling from shore is okay at most.

 

You can also take a water taxi to Caye Caulker and snorkel off the split at the end of the island. Excursions that include stops to Caye Caulker usually have off shore snorkeling like Sharks and Rays. These can be fun too. Snorkeling excursions provide life vests and usually find calmer water.

Take a look at my review for Goffs Caye. We had a great time snorkeling there from the beach. I have plenty of pictures to show you of all the snorkeling within the review. (Review is in my signature line). You do have to book a tour there since it's a small island.
