India E-Visa

I am not on your itinerary so I do not know the details of the port sequence. First, they mentioned that Mumbai seaport will soon be placed on the approved list of entry points for e-visa. Second, if Mumbai is your entry point followed by other Indian ports without leaving the country, may be the entire sequence counts as a single entry.

I was hoping it was going to be similar to situations we've had in other Asian countries where as we were still officially in their waters, then it counts as one entry. I may send an email to the Indian Embassy once Mumbai seaport has been officially added to confirm the exact requirements for our itinerary.

Just received my passports back from the India Embassy representative. The initial process is a real pain as they ask so many questions and require so much info and photocopies, but it all went well once I completed the app on line. Only took 8 days for mine and a few more for my husband's.
