Driver for large group?

We have 13 (7 adults, 6 kids) in our party going to Chankanaab for the day, including my 80 year old grandmother. I know there are taxi cars readily available at the port, but what about passenger vans? We would prefer to travel in as large of a group as possible. Does anyone have a suggestion for a driver or shuttle bus that we could pre-arrange for our large group?

There are vans. I think they hold 6-8 people though.

But I believe that would be more expensive. 2 taxis, 8 pax in 1 and 5 in the other would run about 1000 pesos (US$53-US$55) round trip to Chank. Tours Plaza charges $107 for 3 hours and additional $25 for every hour beyond 3. And I think their rates are going up soon.

Basically agree with Crew but don't think the math is quite right!

I have used them many times and highly recommend but if you are only going to Chankanaab I don't think a driver for the day would be best the best option.

Taxis are readily available to go to Chankanaab and to return. Crew is right that you would need two vans so you would need to make an adult "team leader" for each van but I would estimate the price would be more like $50 ROUND TRIP for EACH van.
