You'll love it!!! I'll be back in St Thomas in Oct 2018 and am sure it'll be Sapphire again.

Thanks for the info... I'm a bit confused about the sign -- it says Brewer's Bay... Isn't that in Tortola or are there 2?

Here's the sign from the taxi stand at the cruise port. Not that bad. $11 each way per person.

There's a Brewers Bay on St Thomas, too. Close to the airport. More of a local beach. No chair rentals. No taxi stands. No restaurant.

Are there cabs at the beach waiting to take people back to the ship? We won't have phone service, and I don't want to preset a return time for pick-up (in case we want to stay longer or leave earlier than arranged). Will we have any problem catching a cab at the end of our beach visit?

Sapphire Beach has taxis waiting or you can have the driver who takes you come back for you.

I too thank you for your review and pictures. We've been to St. Thomas many times and vary our beach stops. I too had read bad reviews of Sapphire. Now I may change my mind. I love Emerald Beach which is the closest to Crown Bay. Obviously Sapphire is one of the farther locations, but I wish to stop downtown on the way back as I haven't done that in a long time. Now I have choices. Still not sure if our ship will dock in Crown Bay or Havensight as we are the only (RCCL/CEL) ship on the agenda for our day.

Which is the most beautiful beach? realize this is matter of opinion. But Sapphire or Magens Bay. Cost for 2 adults and three children. What is available on each...snorkeling , beach chairs? bathrooms etc.

They are both beautiful beaches and which is number one is purely subjective

Both have chairs to rent, restrooms, and food and drink, but not much snorkeling at Magens.

The shop at Crown Bay with local products is the bookstore. I think the name is the Owl and the Seahorse or something like that.
