Default Best seafood at Quincy Market?

We will spend one day in Boston before our NCL cruise on October 9th. Locals. Please help. Where should we have a nice seafood dinner at or near the Quincy Market? Thank you for your help.

Best seafood is tough to answer because there are some many great seafood restaurants in Boston. If you're looking strickly in the Quincy Market area, I would suggest the oldest restaurant in the country, the Union Oyster House (http://www.unionoysterhouse.com/). Great food, historic building, unique to Boston.

I also agree with The Union Oyster House. Request booth #18, John F Kennedy's favorite table.

We wanted to try the chowder here but it was packed. So we ended up back at the Quincy Market and and had the chowder in a sourdough bowl at the Boston Chowda Company. Pretty good. Big chunks of clams and potatoes. Just the way I like it.

I always recommend the bread bowl from Boston Chowda if you want take-out. You get great chowder and you get to eat the bowl!

Try' Legal Seafood.'..right outside the new England Aquarium...wonderful food !!! Prices are more reasonable than Oyster House..

Just a block or two from Quincy Market.

Chart House across from Quincy Mkt. (seaside) is great. So is No Name.(close by, may need a cab) A lot of people, including me, like Durgin Park.(right at Quincy Market). Memorable!

My vote is the Union Oyster House. If you know when you will be there maybe they take reservations....I don't remember. Just across on the parkway is an outdoor Holocaust Memorial. Very unique and evocative.

Blessings,

Gail
