Default Just Back from Coral 7/20-27

We had a great trip. Just started a bit rough!

When we boarded on the 20th it was raining, all day!

Set out for College Fjord and it was beautiful although a bit wet, low cloud cover so couldn't see the tops of the mountains. The fun started when we set out for Glacier Bay!

Since we have to go out to more open sea, it was rough. We had 12-15 ft seas and up to 40 knot winds. There were a lot of people getting sick! Because of that we were 2 1/2 hours late to glacier bay, but once we got into the bay the water was like glass. So for just 24 hours a little rocking and rolling!

Glacier Bay was beautiful but again we had rain and low cloud cover.

Once we got into Skagway the next day the weather had improved a lot. It cleared up a bit but then the wind came in, very windy.

Juneau was great still cloudy, but not much rain. Went fishing and caught 6, kids caught some great size silvers! Wish we could have stayed longer there.

Ketchikan dawned sunny and bright. Beautiful day. Went fishing and caught 14! REally wish we could have stayed longer there.

Sea day was beautiful, started out a little cloudy, but by the time we were cruising near land, clear and beautiful.

Great cruise overall, will go into more detail later, have to do laundry!

Toodles,

We were in South OC last weekend. That heat should have you recovered from those rainy days quickly! Good to hear it was a good cruise. Tnx for the report.
