Default Alhambra Granada excursion

Has anyone been on the Seabourn excursion to Granada to visit the Alhambra? We want to go to the site but the excursion price is $299. per person which is considerable. If you have been on the excursion we would love to know your opinion. Thanks in advance

My son spent a year at University in Granada and we spent a long weekend there visiting.

I strongly recommend going to Granada. The Alhambra is outstanding and the old Moorish part of the complex especially so. But, the Alhambra notwithstanding, Granada itself is well worth a visit just to wander around the old town and to window shop in all the unique little shops. And, if you do get the time, hot churros dipped in hot chocolate sauce at a cafe in one of the little squares is a must. The diet can wait

If you'd like a second opinion, I will tell you that I don't think Grenada/Alhambra is worth $299 per person. I have not done the Seabourn tour, but rather a private tour from Malaga on a Regent cruise. The Alhambra is interesting, what with the history of the Spaniards and the Moors, and the gardens are nice, but not for $299 pp with a long bus ride to boot. I don't know what all you get for the $299, but I'd would consider taking a cab into Malaga, visiting the castle, the cathedral, the Roman ruins, etc. Now I do agree that the churros sound good. Maybe you can find those in Malaga.

Hi there.
I live in Malaga and know several tour guides that go to the Palace.
Without an organised tour it is vertually impossible to get into the Palace as they now limit the amount of tickets and visitors per day.
