Default Need a little help

ok i don't know how to phrase this but I need help with something. Today I received money from school and I want to use it for the cruise I am going on. I want my mom to be shocked when she goes into her balcony room with her friends.

My mom has been through a lot these past two years. One she is a surivor of colon cancer and she is cancer free as of this year. And second she lost her job because they didn't need her any more.

So I know many of you cruise and I wanted to put something nice on the ship for her. We are sailing Miracle on Sept 21st. What are some things I can put in the room.

Also I am paying for a shore excurision in grand turk. I am wondering will I have enough time for the sting rays. We dock at 1pm and we leave at 7pm. the excurison is from 130pm til 430 is that enough time. ANd are they friendly because I dont want us to get attack.

Thanks for the help

If you go to this link you can view all the gifts that are available to purchase and have placed in the room before the guest gets there:

I did this for my wife for our honeymoon. I bought her the "Happy Honeymoon" room decorations, they were all over the room when we got there, very well done. You can either buy over the internet, or just call Carnival and do it over the phone. You'll need to know the booking number, the sailing date, the ship and the cabin number.

If you are booking a shore excursion through Carnival, they will be on time. They usually provide transportation to/from the ship. If you are booking through a third party, then you need to be wary of the times. If you book it too early you'll miss it. Book it too late and you risk missing the ship. Just make sure you know EXACTLY when the excursion begins and ends, and what time the ship is in port so you can plan accordingly.

That money is most likely a student loan. It's supposed to pay for your school.

Get your education that money is intended for. That will be the best gift for your mom.

Question

Oh yes I know..I am paying all my loans off but there is extra money left and I wanted to surprise her with something. I should of been more detailed. Plus I saved money as well for this cruise. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

I think it would be fun to hang up some pictures of you & your mom. Maybe bring a pink flamingo, a blow up palm tree or some other "caribbean-type" decorations. It's not expensive and would get you all in the cruise spirit.

Another thought would be to surprise her with a small basket of items in her cabin. Some little fun facts about the ports you're visiting. Flip flops. Travel size toiletries. r freshener. Shower poof. Journal to write about the ports. Her fav candy. Gum. The basket doesn't have to be expensive; if you are creative, you can come up with some great stuff.

You're an awesome daughter! Like the previous poster said, you'll have to order something from the CCL website beforehand if you want her room to be decorated when she arrives on the ship. If you know of a way you can sneak in to her cabin before she does, then you could save money and do it yourself, but that may be a difficult thing to do. The party stores have lots of stuff you could pack. Just bring tape.

Maybe you could do it during dinner or something, if you have access to her cabin.

Also, you could take lots of pics and make her a great album when the cruise is over. When we were on Celebrity they sold a package for making those albums with things all in them, I just cannot remember what that craft is called. Anyway, maybe Carnival has that, or you can just go to a craft store when the cruise is over and do it yourself.

Have a great cruise!

Shay
