Default Queen Victoria general questions

I am going on QV on Sept 2nd and have a few questions, hopefully someone can help (I have been on once before about 18 months ago but can't remember!) :-

1) What bathroom amenities are provided i.e. shampoo, conditioner and body lotion I presume. What about anything else, cotton wool, shower cap?

2) Does the laundry provide washing soap?

3) I know there is a sauna in the women's changing rooms, and have seen a thread on here which implies the sauna is free to use. However when I was last on I seem to remember asking a member of the spa staff and I think I was told that it is part of the spa but that probably no one would say anything if I used it. So has anyone who has not had a spa package used the sauna.

4) Can anyone tell me the price of the spa pool/steam rooms please i.e. the cost of a 1 day, 3 day, 5 day pass and the price of a pass for the entire cruise (16 nights).

I know I will find out soon enough but I like to be prepared.

Thanks in advance.

Hi

We were on the QV last year and I can answer your first 2 questions - didn't get into the spa so cant answer those.

1) What bathroom amenities are provided i.e. shampoo, conditioner and body lotion I presume. What about anything else, cotton wool, shower cap?

Yes you have all of the amenities you have mentioned - you also have bath robes (and slippers i think).

2) Does the laundry provide washing soap?

Yes the laundry does supply the soap to do your washing - there are also driers there - all free of charge.

We had a fantastic time on the QV - I am sure you will love it.

Yes, the steam and suana baths are co-ed. I believe you purchase a day pass for the thermal and hydropool "experience", which includes use of all these facilites as well as the relaxation lounge with robes, towels and slippers.

Bathroom amenities are small bottles of Gilchrist & Soames shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and body lotion, replenished as needed, plus a bar of facial soap, bar of shower soap, shower caps, cotton wool balls, buds and tissues. Also bathrobe and slippers.

Can't answer about the launderette - never yet set foot in ship-board one

there is a sauna in the mens and ladies changing rooms, they are not shared. there are a couple of steam rooms for the paid spa which are shared, they are in a room with warm tiled beds.

Just got off QV today and 3 day spa pass is $55. You don't get to use the spa for free if you have a treatment unlike on QM2.
