Default Room Service Menus??? - Breakfast in Bed???

I was just looking at the gifts and packages on the Princess website.
I see a Champaign Breakfast in Bed, with 1/2 bottle of 'French Champaign' for thirty something dollars.

I wanted to check room service menus and prices to see what room service might offer, and how much a nice breakfast for two might be. I did some quick searching with no luck.

Anybody know where to see a room service menu and prices?

I also notice that the Ultimate Balcony Dining is showing as available during morning hours. I am assuming that this is the same thing as above. Just have to call once onboard.

I wouldn't want to do the whole dinner on the balcony thing.
There are to many other wonderful venues, for free, or for a nominal cover, on this short cruise.
But, as a woman who always has to get up and do the morning grind... I have never had breakfast in bed, and this sounds good. Especially since we will have a nice sized balcony.

Anybody done this?
Any info?

Thanks!

Princess offers a cold breakfast for room service, just so you know. If you're looking for bacon, sausages, omelets, and such you'll need to leave your room and go to one of the other venues (you can bring it back to your room, though).

Regular items on the room service menu are included in your cruise fare. "Extra" goodies, obviously something like a Champagne breakfast, will have an additional cost.

Thanks!

Yes, I just looked at the choices on the Continental Breakfast Card on the recent thread below!

Actual Room Service delivery should also deliver a hot breakfast as well, for a charge, of course. Right?

I see the Champaign Breakfast and the Ultimate Balcony Dining (a.m. hours listed).

Maybe somebody here has tried these?

With further searching, I see that there is no breakfast available, not even for a charge, available by room service, except for the full suites.

So, the Champagne Breakfast, or the Ultimate Balcony Dining breakfast would the only options.

I wonder if they are the same?

Hhhhhmmmm???

No, not on Princess. The room service menu is limited. At breakfast it is continental (although some cruisers have had luck writing in some hot items like scrambled eggs I've not had that experience) choices. For lunch and dinner it is sandwiches and salads. I've had the champagne breakfast. I was told I could order anything we wanted so we had omelets, pastries, OJ, coffee, and melon. We were given this as a gift and since we don't like wine we gave the champagne to our tablemates at dinner.

There was a recent post that Room Service is now offering egg dishes on a regular basis. Try checking with Room Service late in the evening on Embarkation day.

For breakfast in bed: DW uses the door hanger (supplied nightly by your cabin steward) and even though it is pre-printed with a limited selection of items, she just writes in what she wants and is usually very successful in getting it delivered.

The rest of the times we decide to eat in the room, we either go get what we want and bring it back (not the best way to do it) or order off the pre-published menu in the book on the desk.

It's beginning to make me wonder if the post you are referring to was not a fluke. I would have thought we would have had a lot more checking in telling us that room service breakfast is expanded by now if this is actually taking place. Just a thought! When something like this opens up, usually there are dozens of posts telling about it, but so far, nope, just the one.

Default If HAL can do it

why can't Princess offer full breakfasts in cabin. Next they could offer fresh squeezed OJ. By the way Champaign is to Illinois as Champagne is to France.

Ohhh, I know, I caught that after it was too late to correct my initial post... But, I think it got it right on post number 4 after I saw others spelling it correctly!!! Learn every day!

PS: If Princess had room service breakfast (other than danish and coffee) to the staterooms, they couldn't very well get $32.00 for the UBB now could they...

I'm sure everyone appreciates your geography lesson although she did manage to correct herself on her own. Maybe we should correct your grammar?

One of the few and the proud?????
Hhhhmmmmm?????

I wonder if the few who have been successful with this just happened to be on the same ship, or even perhaps the same stewards?

I always put a smiley face on it that can help the irony is that they rarely get the rest of my order correct lol

But, is HAL attempting to sell an Ultimate Balcony Breakfast such as Princess has been? If not, that could be the answer.
If a full breakfast is available complimentary from room service, why in the world would anyone pay to order the Balcony dining which they are charged for? Same with the Ultimate Balcony Dinner. When the Ultimate Balcony dining began, that is when the room service delivered from the dining room menu ended.

I am the original poster who started this thread.

No offense to anyone who has lucked out with the hot breakfast items.

But, if princess set-up is to offer the continental breakfast card - and that is what they have available for the cabins on each deck... then I really would NOT want to be advising everyone to put their steward(s) thru the amount of work it probably takes them to actually personally go to a dining room or buffet for you, to be a personal delivery concierge.

I agree that Princess should improve their room service!!!!
NO doubt about it.
They are known, industry wide, for this shortcoming.
Princess probably gets complaints/feedback on this every single day.
This is NO surprise to them at all.

But, requesting a steward be one's personal servant is probably not the best way to deal with it.

We will probably indulge, just this once, in the UBB.
Otherwise, if we want a hot breakfast, we have two good legs to get to the dining room or buffet.

Thank you for the insight ... I'm going to be adventurous on my Ruby sailing in November, "nothing ventured, nothing gained". Will probably start out conservative, and if that works I'll "go for the gusto".

Not to sound entitled or anything but--Your cabin steward isn't the one who delivers the room service on princess (at least the bigger ships)--they have an entire dedicated delivery department and kitchen set up-even with their own head waiters in charge of just that-so they aren't running all over the ship--i agree it may hold things up a bit if everyone on the ship wrote in on the card but it's not as if you're having your attendant leave what he's doing and run down to get you something.
