Default View from Top of Bridge on Emerald/Ruby

Last time we were on Emerald, we saw people standing at the viewing area on top of the bridge. How does one get there? We tried walking down each deck from Lido and could not find out way out there. Which deck is it on?

Thanks!

Yes, you CAN teach an old dog new tricks, just not the same way you would teach a puppy!

If you go all the way forward on the Lido deck past the forward cabins there is a door the leds to the observation deck above the bridge.

My wife and I spent some time on the top of the bridge on the Emerald a few monts back, great view.

This area is accessed through the Lido deck.

You will need to enter the stateroom section and go forward (towards the bow). When you reach the area around stateroom L103 (from the starboard side of the ship) or L104 (on th eport side) you will see doors that are unmarked. Open one these doors and you will be in a small area with another door directly in front of you. When you go through the second door you will be near a small flight of steps that takes you to the top of the bridge. (just a couple of steps)

Caveat, these doors are not open all the time. However, they were open every day while we were in port. Also, keep in mind that the first set of doors from the Lido deck hallway are not marked. So, you have to keep an eye out for them.

Good luck and enjoy the view!

Thanks! Sounds like it's a secret hiding place or something...no wonder it wasn't filled with people...maybe people like me who dunno how to get there, haha! I will be sure to look for those unmarked doors next time.

It'd be nice to stand there for a sail into Venice.

On the Grand/Golden/Star/Sapphire/Diamond Princess ships, you just go forward outside on the Sun deck and you'll reach the bridge wings. Much less mysterious.
