Default Taxi transfers Nice airport to Monte Carlo docks and Venice docks to Venice airport

Has anyone used the regular taxi from Nice Airport to the Monte Carlo docks and also from the Venice docks to the Venice airport.
The private car services are outrageous prices. What is the story???

Barrister, We arranged online for a car service to pick us up at the ship (HAL Rotterdam) in Venice for transfer to the airport. Price was reasonable for a Mercedes van. There were taxis right there also. All cheaper and quicker than the ship's bus. Jim in Ohio

There's a bus service that runs from Nice airport to Monaco..

It's a specific airport bus made for Luggage, very, very easy. Taxi's I've read are at least 60 Euro..OUCH.

We are on the Monte Carlo to Venice itinerary as well. We were told by our Monte Carlo hotel to take a shuttle from Nice Airport ( 18 Euros a person). This will stop opposite the hotel. We will taxi it the next morning. There is a roll call on this cruise in case you are interested.

I was planning to taxi it in Venice. Not sure whether I shall stay a day or leave same day.

We recently (on August 7th) got a taxi from Nice direct to the port at Monte Carlo and it cost us €70, there was a bit of a hold up so that added slightly to the cost, and we did have 3 very large suitcases!

Thank you all. Great help from Nice since our TA suggested a private car service at $235.US seemed a bit much - ouch. Are land taxis readily available at the Venice Cruise Terminal???
