Default Are you allowed to take food or soft drinks on board?

Hey,

Does anyone know if packets of crisps and water is allowed onboard or will they take it off me when I get on?

It's allowed.

You can bring a case of water with you if you want. You can bring a box of crisps (crackers?) with you if you want.

There are some restrictions on the types of food you can bring onboard, but pre-packaged items like candy, granola bars, etc are all allowed. Some people bring their favourite munchie from home, even though the cruise ship has more food selection than you'll ever need.. it's all acceptable.

Just no alcohol, and some food stuff that is persishable, meats, fruits, that sort of thing.

Todd, crisps are potato chips. And chips are french fries. And somehow, biscuits are cookies.

Go figure!!!

In that case, crisps are definitely allowed. I think I've brought a bag of "crisps" or a can of Pringles almost every cruise. Usually I'll get a potato chip craving after 3 or 4 days onboard. I know there is plenty to eat on the ship, but every now and then you just need that familiar flavored snack. I'll buy a small bag or can in port and bring it back with me. The only time I had to get rid of a bag was one that I had opened but not finished. I had to throw it away before boarding.

In the Med, I fell in love with paprika flavored Pringles. Can't find them in Texas for some reason but they were everywhere in Italy. I think I bought 4 or 5 small cans during the 2 weeks we were on the cruise. YUMMY!

Oooh the paprika ones sound yummy. Not as yummy as the thought of cayenne ones (which is what I initially thought you typed), but yummy nonetheless. I'll bet smoked paprika is even better.

Then there's popcorn doused with chipotle Tabasco...yoiks.

Okay that had nothing to do with this post. Sorry OP!
