Tell her she's welcome to join you but in her own cabin. Two's company and three's a crowd -- especially when you're talking about on a ship.

Well, the Conquest and the Ecstasy both sail out of Galveston.

The Conquest is a beautiful ship. I would suggest that one for you.

The Ecstasy should be just fine for her!

I'm not sure I'd want to sail with my MIL, but then again, she's no longer with us so I don't have to deal with that. My wife, however, has to deal with my mom's comment or two about not being invited. Truth is, I love my mom, but we've not extended an invitation to cruise with her yet. She's in her 70's and cruises when she wants with her friends. I've never taken offense that she's not invited me on any of her cruises.

I would not have had a problem with my MIL on a cruise with us (separate cabin, of course), but she is no longer with us and don't think she would have been willing in the first place.................BUT, my wife may have a different opinion.............

Thank goodness my daughter-in-law hates me. I don't have to deal with "pretend" family vacations!

Tell her to bring a friend and they can get their on cabin. My MIL is 95 and said she is done cruising. Then when she found out we were going to be in Florida after our Victory cruise, she wants to fly back to Calif with us when we return home and spend a month with us and gkids, ggkids etc. I said no problem and bought her a ticket. I love that woman.

Default You guys crack me up

Too funny. I like my mom-in-law - of course, have only seen her once - at the wedding.

I wish my mom would cruise with us - everyone loves her and she loves to cruise - but she is at home taking care of my father and won't leave him. It would be great cuz we would put my dd in her room!!!

Kathy
