Default Balcony vs Promenade Price Drop, HELP!

My husband and I are trying to make a tough decision and were hoping for some insight. We have a hump room on LOS and noticed the price of the promenade room (what we started with before upgrading) has fallen to half the price of the balcony. We are now looking at 500.00 more a person for a balcony. What would you do, go back to the promenade or stick with the balcony? We're looking for different points of view from those who have been in both. TIA!!

I would absolutely take the Prom cabin (if there was one near the middle - I don't like the ends of the Prom) for that kind of price difference. JMHO

I always book balcony cabins because I love them. BUT, if you are ok with an inside room and don't mind not having a balcony, go for it - it is a huge savings. Plus, the inside promenade rooms do have a nice window looking down on the action

I agree with the first two responses.

You must have been happy with the idea of a Promenade cabin in the first place, if you booked it.

Take it and laugh all the way to the bank! (or the bar!)

$1000 can pay for another cruise. IMHO, the Promenade is the way to go.

Ditto. As nice as a balcony is, I wouldn't pay $1000 for it!

I assume you're on a one-week cruise. That's $142 per day to have a balcony. Are you going to use it $142 worth each day? As much as I like a balcony, I know that my family wouldn't get THAT MUCH use from it!

I love balconies but I love money more.... That $1000 can pay a lot of
expenses and can go towards another cruise..

Go for the money. Take the grand and get a balcony cabin on another
cruise!!!

Thanks guys! We appreciate the info, I guess we're going to downgrade to the promenade and use the extra money to cement a trip on Oasis. Sad to give up the balcony but excited for Oasis!
