Default Celebrating two big b-days. Any ideas for surprises?

My mother is turning 70 and my cousin's husband is turning 60 on the cruise. Anyone have some ideas on how to celebrate? I'm looking for embarrassing ideas as well as nice ideas. I know on Carnival they have a "morning show" on the jumbotron where the cruise director would mention people. So anything like that or whatever.

Thanks in advance.

I would suggest, you notify your head Waiter of your BDays and during dinner they will come around and sing for you. If your going on RCL, you can have the room decorated. Go to the RCL Web Site and under Gifts & Gear top of Page, select Gifts from the drop down menu and then Room Decorations, along with a gift. I did an Anniversary Decoration for our room last Oct.

If you notify them ahead of time, the Head Waiters are always wonderful about suprises; Brining special foods, desserts, or having people sing. I've seen it all.

One year, we were travling with a group known as the "4th Tuesday club." Named such as we always met for all you can eat crab on the 4th Tuesday of every month. Since we were on the ship on the 4th Tuesday, our Head Waiter had plates of crab cakes delivered to the table along with a plate frosted to say "4th Tuesday club." It was really wonderful.

What about signing them up for the belly flop contest (she could be a judge and he can be a flopper?
