Unhappy rain-rain-rain

i just looked at the weather channel and it looks like new orleans is going to get soaked everyday for the next week. i get there next sunday and hope it lets up. wow, if the weather channel is true i better take a umbrella for sure. .

anyone from the area have any input on this. it sure wont stop me from having a good time though and getting on the ship .

There was some rain in New Orleans today- I dropped down for a visit, but mostly not. When it rains it can pour but I'm 99.99% sure you won't have a hurricane party.

A collapsible umbrella would be good to have handy, but hopefully you won't need.

In New Orleans there's rain and then there's RAIN. We have quite a bit of rain - we are in a tropical climate. An umbrella is good for that - short storms, sometimes cool the city down - sometimes just make it more humid. No one pays much attention to them. Then there's the RAIN. This is the gully-washing downpours that sometimes happens (although not often). If this happens while you're here just stay inside 'till it's over. These storms cause street flooding and all sorts of messes. But again, once it's over - it's over.

Well I guess we had RAIN last Saturday. We were amazed at how quickly the streets became flooded. I guess there's just no place for the rain to go.

Beware the wind that seemed to blow with the rain. I'm not sure how much an umbrella will help if you get RAIN.

Enjoy your time in NOLA!
