Heathrow airport to Southampton cruise terminal

We are cruising on the Independence on 11/23 out of Southampton. We arrive at Heathrow on the 22nd and need to get to the pier or our hotel. We are staying at the Hilton in Southampton on the 22nd. Does anyone know the taxi rates to go to Southampton from Heathrow or can someone suggest a service that we can take that would take us directly to our hotel? This is our first time in the United Kingdom. Royal Caribbean would only do transfers to the ship, if we did a pre-night hotel stay in London, at the cost of $336 per person.

I would ask on the Europe boards. We used a service called Smiths for Airports out of Portsmouth. http://www.smithsforairports.com They were more reasonable than the other limo services. We went from Gatwick to Southhampton at about 7:30 in the morning. The transfer went smoothly. We asked for the scenic ride and the driver was happy to oblige. We would have taken the train, but we arrived on a Sunday and that is the only day you have to change trains from Gatwick. I would look into that if you want even a cheaper option.
