Default Explorer Question?

We will be in aft cabin 1388 on the Explorer in Feb. I was looking at the deck plans and wondering what the Island Grill is just above us. Is it just the seating in the Windjammer, or is it outside seating like on the Serenade? Thanks for your help.

Hi,

Just sailed the Explorer in 1388 on 8/20.

The indoor seating for the windjammer is right above your cabin.

Great Room!

The island grille is part of the windjamer, it is not outside like Serenade it is an inside area, the area above your cabin is just the seating area, we have had cabin 1692 for 9 days a couple of years ago and never noticed any noise from above. You will love this cabin, we have also had a couple of these cabins for our transatlantic on Voyager as well.

Happy sailing

Thanks for your fast reply. Was it really noisy with all of the people walking above you?

How was the Pole?

Thanks Brian, you answered my question the same time I was asking it. Glad to know that the noise will not be a problem. Looking forward to gazing at the wake, and relaxing on the huge balcony with no one peering down from above.

Island grille serves duplicate food items from the Windjammer and usually is less busy (I guess because it is lesser-known, or more out of the way). Noise shouldn't be a problem.
