Emergency Medical Evacuation at Sea - Mercury
This afternoon while relaxing in the cabin, I heard a helicopter in the distance. It came closer and closer until it was hovering over the ship. The Canadian Rescue team took one of the crew members off the ship according to the captain's report and the crew member is in stable condition. We have no more information than that and the captain said the evacuation was successful. We are in aft sunset verandahs and the churned up air from the copter picked up the rubber mats on the balconies and threw the furniture around. I don't know if any of you heard anything more about the incident. We hope and pray the crew member is OK.
