Default Murano Dining Experience

Dear All: We just booked Murano on Century for our day at sea dinner. They only had an early time slot open (6pm) so we took it as the other days we want to enjoy the ports to the fullest.

Questions:

A. Is there a nice view (or at all) from this dining room? As we are dining early would be superb to see the Med on our final night!

B. Seems like there are many courses. How long does the dining experience take and does the service move at your pace?

C. Does this dining room require formal dress code?

Thanks in advance for your help!

While Murano is located along the side of the ship, so it does have windows, it is not really in good location for a view. You're much better off strolling the deck above the pool after dinner to take in the view.

Service moves as rapidly as you want, but expect to spend 2+ hours enjoying the experience. The food and service is as good as any restaurant I have ever been to, on land or at sea.

The dress code for Murano is the same as the rest of the ship - if it's formal night, then the dress code is formal. However, people tend to overdress, so on smart casual nights you may see men in jackets.

We ate at Muranos twice on our Century cruise and it was one of the highlights of the cruise. It was dark outside when we ate, but I think there are windows - so you should be able to have a view if it is light out as you dine if you get a table near the windows.

Our dinners were quite lengthy. One was just my wife and myself and lasted about three hours. The second was with a few people from our roll call board and lasted nearly four hours! I would imagine if you are dining alone it is certainly possible to eat in closer to two hours (depending on how many courses you select). The food was so great we did several courses. The ambiance and service was top knotch as well.

I forget if the dress code is the same as the main dining room or if it is always smart casual, but it is definitely not formal if it is not a formal night. It is a rather elegant restaurant and dining experience, so most people were somewhat dressed up.

If you would rather do a later dinner than 6pm, one thing to keep in mind is they only release a certain amount of reservations for pre-booking. If you head to Muranos as soon as you board, you likely would be able to change to a later dining time.

Enjoy your cruise and Muranos.
