Smile Queen Victoria Docking September 25-26, 2009 New York, New York.

Hi Everyone,

Nick Smith here. I have a question about the Queen Victoria's arrival port in New York September 25-26, 2009. I was online recently on Krooz-cams and said Queen Victoria's port of call for September 25-26, 2009 was Red Hook, Brooklyn, but nycruise.com said Manhatten cruise terminal will be her port for those two days. If any of you can confirm this to be definite for Red Hook cruise terminal, brooklyn, please let me know.

Thank you in advance.
Sincerely, Nicholas Smith

If QV is supposed to be in Europe, someone better tell the Captain to turn around quick-smart. The webcam shows her currently at sea bound for New York!

Default QV will be in Manhatten...

Hi,

The Queen Victoria will be in Manhatten on September 25 and 26, 2009. She will be docked at the west side piers.

Nothing against Brooklyn, but I do hope it is the Manhattan Cruise Terminal, as it is a nice walk/ride down Riverside Park for us to see her!

Default Queen Victoria pulling into Manhattan

Just saw this cruise by about 10 min ago on the Hudson River going up to the Manhattan port. What a pretty site!

That's a great photo. Thanks for posting. I wondered when she was due in as the QV webcam isn't working at present.

When are you going? Maybe we can meet off-ship since we did not meet on the QM2.

Fortunately for QV passengers, Princess is using the Brooklyn terminal today, so QV passengers get the spectacular cruise up/down the Hudson.
By the way, counting Brooklyn, Bayonne, and Manhattan....there are six cruise ships in the Port of New York today!

What a grand sight to behold the Saga Ruby, (former Cunard Caronia), The Carnival Triumph, The Cunard Queen Victoria and the Costa Atlantica all in a row.

A quartet of liner funnels looming over the west side cruise ship terminal like a majestic maritime sculpture.

Well, we didn't make it down. Housecleaning, errands and shopping took precedence. I know, QV is rarely here, but it seems that we have been on the go every weekend and needing to attend to domestic matters. I envy all who will have the chance to see all these ships depart with the QV as the Grand Lady of them all!

Default Pictures of the QV and other ships!

Here is a link to some pictures I took of the Queen Victoria during her visit in New York on September 25 and 26, 2009. I also took some shots of the ex-Caronia as she sailed down the Hudson.

I was hoping to get pictures of her sailing this evening at 6PM but apparently she's been delayed in New York!

Great shots QE2x40, thanks for posting them. We also made the trip down to the pier. Both the Saga Ruby and Costa Atlantica were running safety drills with their tenders and lifeboats. The Atlantica in particular had all of her starboard tenders and lifeboats lowered and a little parade ensued on the murky waters of the Hudson.
