Default My Carnival Elation Wedding

Well we got back yesturday and we were exhausted and did nothing but lounge around and watch movies once we got home. I dont even know where to start. Everything was amazing.

We met at the Escondido Transit Center at 9:00 and we were headed off to the Harbor at about 9:30. The trip was a little bumpy but everything went well. Everyone enjoyed the muffins and juice we got for them. Once we pulled into the harbor it was very easy to unload and gather our carryon luggage. We didnt even have time to sit before they gathered us up and took us through security. Terra was my planner and she was AMAZING! There were 50 of us. I was a little scattered until we all got through security and were able to sit and wait to board. We had a lot of people to get ready and so there was some confusion on my part as to how everything was going to work. But everyone seemed like they got to lido deck okay.

Once we were in the room everything seemed to calm down. My MIL had a Tobi Travel but it wasnt working so we werent able to steam my dress. My husband said that everything went well on his end. He ended up on the lido deck with no problems. I had a letter delivered to my dad before he walked me down the aisle. Terra got everything ready and it was all beautiful. i walked down the aisle to my husband and we said our vows. I wish I had taken the time to look out and see everyone. I was so focues on Rob that there was nothing else going on.

After everything was done we took some pictures out in the main walkway. And then Terra brought all of our guests out and we took a whole bunch of pictures. We actually were running late and so our time was increased. I enjoyed our reception, but i didnt take the time to eat all of the thing we had. My husband ate everything except the kabobs. But our guests said they were good as well. The drinks at the bar were strong according to my guests. Everything went well. We got to talk to everyone and everyone enjoyed themselves. My dad was even able to get my cake off the ship. It was amazing. I would do it all over again!

Congratulations and a lifetime of happiness for both of you.

What exceeded your expectations and what disappointed? How many of your 50 sailed with you?

Please excuse all my questions. My daughter is getting married on the Pride in March 2010 so I am a bit nervous about all the little stuff

There were 19 that sailed with us. We were all able to sit together at dinner every night. We had two tables and parents/grandparents sat at one and all our friends sat at the other with us. It was an amazing experience. The only things that didnt exceed our expectations was the boarding process. That was VERY hecktic. Other than that we are both VERY happy and would do it all over again. Everyone on the ship was accomidating and friendly. When my husband and I walked around the deck to take more pictures (i wore my dress ALL day) everyone clapped. The whole pool area was clapping and cheering for us. It was an amazing feeling.

Congratulations!!! I would love to see pictures if you have them. I'm sure you were a gorgeous bride!

I'm counting down the days for mine.

I know you said you took some glass bowls for decor. How did that work out?

Congratulations wendy-bird I have loved reading your threads and all your advice and thoughts throughout the whole process.

SweetDara - Had a look at your pics and you look beautiful, your dress is very similar to one I saw in a magazine other day that caught my eye. It looks stunning on you!

Wishing you all tonnes of happiness
Katy
