Default Buenos Aires-Santiago itinerary dropped?

Has NCL dropped the Buenos Aires-Santiago (and Santiago-Buenos Aires) itinerary around Cape Horn after March 2010? I don't see it anywhere for November 2010 and beyond, and it looks like the Sun is going to the Caribbean for winter 2010-11.

You are correct. Those itineraries have been discontinued.

Oh, so disappointing! NCL had a much better itinerary than the competitors, with extra ports.

Too bad -- just can't swing it before next fall so I guess it's Holland America for us...and I pray they have "as you wish" dining on the HAL ship that's going down there. Thanks for the info, Cubechick.

We're also disappointed that this itinerary has been dropped as we just couldn't get it to fit with our available dates for 2009/2010. NCL is not the only cruise line who have dropped South American itineraries - it seemed to be one of the first to go when things got tight - I guess the airfare from US or Europe was probably the killer - mega $$$$$.

Yes, the airfare is quite pricy. We were hoping to snag miles seats -- usually possible if you book them on the first day or two they're available.

We thought of that option but were too late to get anything - and we tried all sorts of routes from UK (via Europe, US, Canada!).

Good luck with getting your flights - certainly makes a HUGE difference.

Ya it was the air. When we looked at that cruise (Sun)
the air fare was twice what the cruise was costing me
Is there a bus ?

Thanks -- no miles seats, no cruise for us! But we have to at least try.
