Default New Years Eve Party 2009

Just wondering if anyone has experienced a New Years Eve on a celebrity ship.

I would love to hear about any New Year party celebrations so I have an idea as to what to expect this year on Constellation.

As the cruise is for 14 nights and over Christmas and New Year, does anyone know how many 'formal nights' we will have? Any guesses as to which nights they would be?

Looking forward to any replies

Thanks

P x

Default Holidays on Mercury...

We were on the Mercury last Xmas and NY R/T from SD. We had traditional "fixings" for the Xmas dinner, Santa "arrived" in a lifeboat (not really...just 'sighted" by the Captain), and the kids had a parade around the ship. There was midnight caroling by the staff on the staircase in the atrium and "treats" passed around as well.

For NY Eve the ship added decorations appropriate for that occasion..streamers, party favors etc. Staff dressed up as Father Time and the New Baby of 2009. I think everyone had a great time. Many cabins doors were decorated as well, just be sure you don't take any "special" decorations as many "disappeared" off the doors..including ours!
Some people brought Santa Hats to wear as well.

We have been on several cruise lines for the holidays and they really seem to go all out. We were just on the Connie for the North Atlantic T/A and I'm sure you will enjoy the staff, crew and ship! Have fun!!! LuAnn
