How cool do they keep the public rooms on the Star, I was thinking for the daytime I could wear a sundress or shorts & a T Shirt but then I read it was really cold. Do I need to plan on long sleeves inside?

I'm normally hot, but the AC on the ships is set pretty cool. Bring a light weight sweater and you'll be fine.

We just got off the Star and it was COLD. The only public space that I ever felt warm was the Stardust Theatre. Strange!

I always bring a sweater or shawl for any public spaces - cruise ship, airlines, theater, etc. -- because they always keep it much colder than I would at home. A shawl works well because it folds pretty flat and tight, and can accessorize an outfit when necessary.

It seems to get colder at night, be sure to bring a sweater, wrap, etc. for inside wear, I bring at least a couple, the evenings outside on deck are also COOL from what we have experienced.
