This was posted just a few minutes ago. Indonesia has now been hit by a 7.6 earthquake TODAY.

... The magnitude 7.6 quake hit at 5:15 p.m. (1015 GMT, 6:15 a.m. EDT), just off the coast of Padang, the U.S. Geological Survey reported. It occurred a day after a killer tsunami hit islands in the South Pacific and was along the same fault line that spawned the 2004 Asian tsunami that killed 230,000 people in a dozen nations.

Unfortunately for the inhabitants, they will never get a break. The islands that make up Indonesia were created by volcanoes and volcanoes and quakes go together.

The poor crew members on all of the HAL ships must be frantic with worry for the safety and well being of their families. We will be doing a lot of praying for them.

a third quake hit again today. But this time no reported fatalities, Thank God.

That part of the world is often referred to as the "ring of fire" due to the volcanic activity that takes place there. Those of us who have experienced the superb service by the Indonesian crew are saddened by the damage to their homeland, their families, and friends. We pray that they will be spared further hurt, and restored to their previous existence.

Did you know that the gulf of Alaska and all down the west coast all the way down to south america are included in the 'ring of fire'? I find it interesting geography wise as it affects us too. Here in Ak we have seen an increase of volcanic activity in recent years.

praying for all the people of the affected areas. Its so sad to see this kind of devistation.
