Default Hotel Pkg -Breakfast?

We have used the hotel/transfer package only once for a pre-cruise stay in Rome. We were provided with a lovely breakfast buffet even though it was not specified in the Princess documents.

We have booked another package for pre-cruise in South America. I had the TA inquire, and the reply was that no breakfast is provided.

What has been your experience? Do pre-cruise hotels include breakfast - as our hotel in Rome did - even though Princess does not confirm that?

Seems like a small gesture since you are already paying a premium for the service.

We always have had breakfast included when we have been outside the US: Europe and South America. But in the US (FT.Lauderdale) we had to pay.
